Join a Fireguard Group in your neighbourhood

Within the local area there are several Fireguard Groups, and less formal neighbourhood groups, that share knowledge and resources around bushfire planning.

The Fireguard Groups are mainly WhatsApp groups because of the advantage of being able to instantly contact large numbers and also being able to interact within the group. To be included you need a mobile and to have downloaded WhatsApp. Some areas simply don’t have mobile coverage, so telephone trees are sometimes still needed.
